Current Research Interests
Photodynamic therapy (PDT), mechanisms involved in the treatment effects of PDT in vitro and in vivo. Fluorescence diagnosis.
Photochemical internalization (PCI)., a method for photochemical delivery macromolecular therapeutics, under development for use in e.g. gene therapy (utilization of non-viral and adenoviral vectors for transfection/transduction of cells and peptide nucleic acids (PNA) for inhibition of gene expression in vitro), protein toxin therapy and chemotherapy.
